Responsibilities

• Manage procurement and inventory planning activities to support manufacturing and production schedules.
• Utilize MRP reports to identify procurement or internal production needs, generate quotes, and issue purchase or work orders.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and performance management to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor material flow, reschedule inventory, and maintain accurate production and inventory reports.
• Support warehouse functions including picking, receiving, and replenishing stock.
• Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and coordinate returns and credits.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement and inventory processes.
• Contribute to shipping and receiving operations as needed, including verifying and transferring goods in SAP.
• Support general duties such as supplier evaluation, BOM corrections, and inventory optimization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 8 years experience in purchasing, planning, and inventory control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to read blueprints and understand manufacturing processes.
• Experience with MRP and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• APICS or ISM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and/or 5S methodology preferred.
• Strong communication skills for external and internal collaboration.
• Ability to lift and manage boxes up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks in warehouse settings.
• Flexibility to work core business hours (10am – 3pm) with additional hours during peak times.
