Buyers Assistant

EAGLE LIGHTING CURRENTLY HAS AN EXCITING & CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE, FOR 2x JNR BUYERS, TO BE BASED AT OUR HEAD OFFICE IN ATLANTIC HILLS. THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL REPORT TO THE SENIOR BUYER

The incumbents will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing goods inventory, ensuring to meet the Company’s needs whilst ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, supplier reliability, compliance and timely delivery.
The vacancy requires an incumbent who:

• Has excellent inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal and written),

• Has strong negotiation and contract management skills

• Has knowledge of procurement systems and principles

• Is highly self-motivated and with the ability to work unsupervised

• Is computer literate and efficient in MS Office and Outlook

• Works well under pressure and meticulously pays attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for

• Procurement & Sourcing of goods

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on best price, quality, service and delivery capabilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring supplier-performance (quality, delivery timelines, service levels)

• Negotiation and Cost Management

• Order management

• Compliance & Governance

• Inventory & Demand Planning

• Reporting & Administration (procurement reports, spend analysis and supplier performance metrics)

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Dipl. In Supply Chain Management/ Procurement (or equivalent)

• 2-3 years’ experience within a procurement or buying role

• Experience in Lighting or Electrical field (preferred)

• K8 experience (preferred)
