Build, modernise and accelerate a global SaaS platform with AI

This is an opportunity for a Software Engineer with strong C#/.NET experience to play a key role in evolving a successful global SaaS platform.

You’ll work across a modern cloud environment while also getting your hands dirty with established systems and long-lived codebases. The difference is that AI and agentic engineering are becoming a core part of how the team builds software.

You’ll be encouraged to use tools such as GitHub Copilot, AI agents and MCP to accelerate development, automate engineering tasks and improve delivery — while maintaining the quality, security and engineering discipline expected of production systems.

What you’ll do

• Design and build scalable features across C#/.NET, Blazor, JavaScript and SQL.
• Develop and evolve cloud-native microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build robust REST APIs and event-driven integrations using messaging technologies.
• Work across both modern platforms and established 10+ year codebases, improving and modernising them pragmatically.
• Design, optimise and troubleshoot SQL and data access in business-critical systems.
• Develop agentic AI engineering workflows, including task decomposition, AI-assisted coding, automated testing and review/verification processes.
• Help establish effective AI engineering practices and guardrails across the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, technical standards and engineering improvements.
• Work closely with senior technical leaders, product and UX teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a highly capable hands-on engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems and working across both new and established technology.

You’ll bring:

• Extensive commercial experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience building microservices and event-driven systems.
• Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong REST API and asynchronous/messaging experience — RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar.
• A good understanding of asynchronous and multithreaded development.
• Experience working with SaaS products and distributed systems.
• Practical experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools and an interest in taking agentic development further.
• Strong engineering fundamentals around testing, security, performance and maintainability.

This role will suit someone who is curious, pragmatic and technically ambitious.

You’ll be comfortable working independently, tackling complex problems and challenging existing approaches. Just as importantly, you’ll enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
