About Us

We are a team of dedicated professionals based mostly in the Czech Republic, consisting of 3 backend developers, 2 frontend developers, and 2 QA engineers.

Our product, ClickEffects, is a desktop/web application used in arenas across the US to engage fans, monetize on-screen graphics, and enhance the overall event production experience.

We are looking for a Medior C# Developer to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our desktop application into a modern, web-based, multi-service solution. You will work closely with experienced developers, participate in the development of new services, and help modernize our existing codebase.

Job Description

As a Medior C# Developer, you will contribute to the development and modernization of our applications using C#, .NET 6/8, and gRPC. You will work on implementing new features, developing backend services, and improving existing functionality as we gradually transition towards a web-based architecture.

This role is ideal for a developer who can work independently on assigned tasks, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is motivated to grow their skills in modern software architecture and development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Migration

• Develop and maintain backend components using C#, .NET 6/8, and gRPC.
• Contribute to the migration of our desktop application towards a web-based solution.
• Implement new features and improve existing application functionality.
• Participate in the development and integration of microservices.

Code Quality and Refactoring

• Analyze, maintain, and refactor existing code to improve performance, readability, and maintainability.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Write clean, reliable, and maintainable code following established best practices.

Collaboration

• Work closely with backend and frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with the team to identify solutions and continuously improve development processes.

Testing and Documentation

• Write and maintain unit tests.
• Help investigate and resolve bugs and production issues.
• Maintain technical documentation for developed features and services.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• Approximately 2-3 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience working with existing codebases and implementing new features.
• Familiarity with backend development and API integration.
• Some experience with microservices architecture or an interest in developing further in this area.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of C# and .NET, ideally .NET 6/8.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with gRPC or willingness to learn it.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with unit testing and version control systems such as Git.

Soft Skills

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with the team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
