C++ Senior Software Developer

Job Summary

As a Senior Software Developer, you will join one of OpenText's Agile development teams, building applications for the market leader in Enterprise Information Management platforms and applications.You will apply your knowledge and experience to design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities, with a focus on application development. You will work with teams across geographies to deliver high-quality, reliable and secure software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for completeness and diligence, identifying risks and mitigating potential user-impacting concerns.
• Drive requirements through to implementation, including sizing estimates and task breakdowns.
• Produce high-quality code according to design specifications.
• Work as part of an Agile team throughout the software development life cycle.
• Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards.
• Take ownership of work assignments and drive them to closure.
• Use strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and fix complex code defects and customer challenges.
• Navigate complex issues around application performance, reliability, scalability and security.
• Work in collaboration with teams across geographies.
• Communicate clearly, in writing and verbally, with team members and stakeholders.
• Bring a positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and improve.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MCA or a related discipline from a reputed institute.
• 5 to 8 years of software development experience in C / C++.
• Good knowledge of Java, Unix, databases and RDBMS concepts.
• Good knowledge of database migration and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and object-oriented programming.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience working with different cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of the Agile development process and CI/CD.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Quick learner with strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive work assignments to closure.
• Positive attitude, team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for the domain and technology.
