What they need
Job Purpose
A leading SET100-listed company in Thailand with large-scale manufacturing operations and a growing international presence is seeking an accomplished C-Suite Executive to join its senior leadership team.
We are looking for a seasoned business leader with strong expertise in financial management, manufacturing operations, cost control, and operational performance.
Working closely with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership team, this role will play a critical part in improving profitability through production cost optimization, productivity improvement, inventory management, disciplined investment, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on executive who goes beyond reviewing financial results — someone who understands what drives cost and performance on the factory floor, identifies inefficiencies, and translates operational and financial data into measurable business improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
Manufacturing & Cost Management
- Lead initiatives to strengthen manufacturing cost management and profitability across the organization.
- Oversee product costing, production cost analysis, standard versus actual cost, and manufacturing variance management.
- Monitor key cost drivers including raw materials, packaging, labor, utilities, overhead, logistics, and conversion costs.
- Analyze production variances related to material usage, yield, waste, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and capacity utilization.
- Work closely with plant leadership to identify root causes of cost deviations and drive corrective actions.
- Establish strong cost ownership and accountability across manufacturing and operating functions.
Production Performance & Operational Excellence
- Partner with Operations and Plant teams to improve productivity, yield, throughput, efficiency, and cost per unit.
- Develop management KPIs that connect operational performance directly to financial outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce production losses, waste, overtime, energy consumption, downtime, and process inefficiencies.
- Evaluate performance across plants, production lines, products, and processes.
- Support production planning, capacity utilization, and make-or-buy decisions with strong commercial and financial insight.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with measurable impact on cost and profitability.
Inventory & Working Capital
- Strengthen controls over raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, packaging materials, and spare parts.
- Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving stock, obsolete inventory, and inventory losses.
- Improve inventory turnover and working capital efficiency while maintaining production continuity.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Procurement to optimize inventory levels and purchasing decisions.
- Ensure strong discipline around inventory accuracy and valuation.
Procurement & Cost Optimization
- Partner with Procurement to evaluate supplier costs, commodity movements, purchase price variances, and sourcing opportunities.
- Support supplier negotiations with cost and financial intelligence.
- Identify opportunities to reduce procurement and supply chain costs without compromising quality or business continuity.
- Improve visibility of total landed cost and end-to-end supply chain costs.
CAPEX & Investment Management
- Evaluate investments in production lines, machinery, automation, factory expansion, and technology.
- Establish disciplined investment criteria based on ROI, payback period, productivity improvement, capacity requirements, and strategic value.
- Challenge investment assumptions and ensure capital is allocated to the highest-value opportunities.
- Monitor investment performance against approved business cases.
- Conduct post-investment reviews to ensure expected operational and financial benefits are achieved.
Business Performance & Profitability
- Lead and influence budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and business planning.
- Translate manufacturing and operational drivers into clear financial and business targets.
- Drive improvements in gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, productivity, and return on invested capital.
- Develop management dashboards providing visibility into factory performance, cost trends, margins, and operational risks.
- Identify early warning signals and drive corrective actions before performance deteriorates.
Governance & Business Control
- Strengthen financial and operational controls across manufacturing, inventory, procurement, and investment processes.
- Ensure strong governance, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
- Maintain effective risk management while enabling the business to operate with speed and flexibility.
- Promote disciplined decision-making based on reliable data and clear business economics.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, HR, and Digital teams.
- Build strong collaboration between corporate functions and manufacturing operations.
- Develop high-performing teams with strong commercial and operational understanding.
- Drive a culture of cost ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and execution discipline.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of professional experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience in a C-Suite, Finance Director, Manufacturing Finance, Operations Finance, Business Control, or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Strong background in manufacturing, cost management, financial performance, and operational improvement.
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing, FMCG, consumer products, food & beverage, industrial, or other high-volume production environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of product costing, variance analysis, inventory management, working capital, CAPEX, budgeting, and profitability management.
- Proven track record of improving business performance through cost reduction, productivity improvement, or operational transformation.
- Experience partnering closely with plant management, operations, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- Strong analytical, commercial, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple manufacturing sites or international operations is an advantage.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across the organization.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a C-Suite leader who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the factory floor.
The successful candidate should understand the operational drivers behind business performance — from raw material costs, production yield, waste, machine efficiency, labor productivity, inventory, and capacity utilization to their impact on margin, cash flow, and profitability.
The ideal executive combines strong financial discipline, an operator's mindset, and a business owner's perspective — with the ability to turn operational insight into sustainable cost improvement and long-term value creation.
