C++ Systems Engineer

C++ Systems Engineer | Prague (hybrid, 3 days on-site) | Kč1,200,000 to Kč1,600,000 per year (DOE)

A global capital markets technology business is growing its platform reliability team in Prague, and TechOhana are helping them find a C++ engineer to join it.

This team looks after the core trading platform, keeping it fast and stable as it develops.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻:

Part of the job is keeping established systems in good shape. The rest is performance and memory work, using C++17 and data-oriented design to find and fix bottlenecks in the platform. You’ll build and integrate telemetry, logging and real-time monitoring tools, and work alongside other engineers on systems-level design patterns.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿:

• Substantial commercial experience with C++17 or later, approached from a data-oriented design perspective
• Systems-level Linux experience on real-time software, including multi-threading, memory ordering, and lock-free or wait-free patterns
• Coredump debugging with GDB
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code

𝗔𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹:

• Some Python
• Familiarity with financial markets, FIX or low-latency networking
• Performance analysis tools such as perf, Valgrind or gprof

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲:

• Kč1,200,000 to Kč1,600,000 per year (DOE)
• Permanent position
• Hybrid in Prague, three days a week in the office
• 25 days PTO, with unused days able to roll over, plus two professional development days a year
