C++ Technical Manager

Technical Strategy & Architecture

• Lead the design and evolution of backend system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Define and drive technical strategies, roadmaps, and architectural standards aligned with business objectives.
• Review and optimize system designs to support high-throughput, real-time Gaming applications.
• Ensure microservices architecture principles are properly implemented, with focus on horizontal scalability and fault tolerance.

Engineering Leadership & Team Management

• Oversee and provide technical direction to all C++ developers.
• Monitor team performance, code quality, and delivery standards.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, review processes, and development best practices.
• Conduct architectural and code reviews to ensure alignment with technical standards and long-term strategy.
• Mentor senior developers in architectural thinking and leadership capabilities.
• Support team capacity planning, task prioritization, and technical risk management.

Stakeholder Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for product, operations, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Communicate architectural decisions, technical risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with front-end and other backend teams to design efficient APIs and ensure seamless system integration.

Quality, Performance & Operational Excellence

• Ensure development, testing, and deployment of scalable, high-performance systems capable of handling demanding workloads.
• Oversee troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis for complex production issues.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards and industry best practices.
• Continuously improve system reliability, monitoring, and operational processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in C++ backend development, with 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in modern C++ and high-performance system architecture.
• Extensive experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing and managing high-load server applications, particularly using TCP-based protocols.
• Solid experience with relational databases (SQL-based systems), including performance optimization and schema design.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and scalable system design.
• Familiarity with web security best practices and secure application design principles.
• Experience in gaming, fintech, or other real-time transactional systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar enterprise-level database systems is a plus.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and spoken), with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
