Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of physical therapy assistant responsibilities and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
• Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, functional activities, modalities, and manual therapy techniques as directed by the PT.
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs, safety, and home management strategies.
• Accurately document patient progress, treatments, and communication in EMR according to clinic and regulatory standards.
• Assist in monitoring patient performance and adjust activities to meet treatment goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in accordance with health and safety standards..
• Collaborate with PTs and clinic staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Greeting patients, helping patients with exercises, applying modalities, scheduling following visits, etc.
• Able to communicate with MD offices and insurance companies for benefit verification, getting Authorization, etc.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service delivery.
• Skills:
• Current California Physical Therapist Assistant license (required).
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Outpatient experience strongly preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Computer skills including scan, fax, etc.
• Professionalism and following HIPPA rules.
• Bilingual. English and Spanich speaking (required)

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
