Cabinet and Millwork Engineer

Job Summary
Tapley Cabinet Works, Inc. is a family-owned and operated, high-end custom woodworking company, specializing in custom cabinets. Tapley has been in business since 1946 and has a long history of quality excellence. We are looking for a skilled Cabinet Vision Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. Our optimal candidate is proficient in using Cabinet Vision software and is passionate about bringing our clients' custom cabinet dreams to life.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Cabinet Vision software
• Create drawings from architects, designers, and homeowners notes and sketches
• Add details to shop drawings for production
• Specify dimensions and materials on shop drawings
• Work under the supervision of project managers
• Communicate effectively with designers, architects, and project managers
• Go to jobsites to measure spaces to create accurate drawings
• Generate material lists and cut lists for manufacturing
• Suggest creative solutions to design and manufacturing obstacles

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with Cabinet Vision software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles essential to the production of technical plans and drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Teams
• Cabinet building experience
• Experience with an ERP (INNERGY or similar)

Hourly Wage:

Hours of Work:

Tapley offers a flex schedule and a desired 40 hour work week schedule will be mutually agreed upon by employee and employer.
