Job Description

Heartwood Kitchen and Bath is seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Cabinet Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in cabinet making, cabinet assembly, or a similar field. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling custom cabinets and millwork components, installing hardware, checking product quality, and ensuring finished cabinets meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble cabinet boxes, drawers, doors, shelves, and other millwork components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Install cabinet hardware, hinges, drawer slides, handles, and other fittings accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret cabinet drawings, assembly instructions, and specifications.
• Check cabinet dimensions, alignment, squareness, and overall workmanship.
• Inspect assembled products to identify defects and ensure they meet company quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments to doors, drawers, hardware, and cabinet components.
• Handle materials and finished products carefully to prevent damage.
• Keep the assembly area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work closely with cabinet makers and other production team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cabinet making, cabinet assembly, or a similar field.
• Practical knowledge of cabinet construction and assembly methods.
• Familiarity with plywood, MDF, laminates, melamine, and other common cabinet materials.
• Experience installing cabinet hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and related fittings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly specifications.
• Good manual skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify assembly problems and make accurate adjustments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, productivity, and workplace safety.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CNC-produced cabinet components and millwork parts.
• Experience with custom cabinetry and commercial millwork.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
