Cabinet Finisher

Job Overview

We are seeking a Cabinet Finisher (Painter) for our cabinet restoration shop in Columbus. The Finisher is responsible for preparing and applying finishes that meet strict quality, durability, and color standards. This role ensures that all cabinets meet visual expectations and match existing cabinetry when required. The Finisher also supports field operations when needed to assist with installations and removals

Responsibilities

• Paint, stain, and finish cabinets in the spray booth & on-site in customer homes
• Perform cabinet surface preparation (sanding, cleaning, masking)
• Apply finishes using spray equipment and finishing systems
• Operate and maintain spray booth
• Maintain finishing equipment and tools
• Manage and reference Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Order and manage finishing materials
• Ensure color consistency and finish quality
• Perform color matching to existing cabinets and surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of finishing area
• Assist with on-site cabinet installations and removals when needed

Qualifications

• Experience in cabinet finishing, furniture, painting, or coatings application
• Proven ability to perform accurate color matching
• Experience operating spray systems and working within spray booth environments
• Strong attention to detail and visual quality standards
• Demonstrates consistent adherence to job site and shop safety protocols, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) while maintaining a safe working environment for self and others
• Knowledge of finishing materials, coatings, and application techniques
• Ability to maintain equipment and ensure consistent finish results
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment with high quality standards
