We’re looking to add an experienced Cabinet Finisher to our team who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and wants to grow long-term with our company.

Position Overview

As a Cabinet Finisher, you’ll be responsible for preparing, staining, spraying, and finishing custom cabinetry and components in our shop. This position requires experience with professional wood finishing, including surface preparation, spray equipment, and applying consistent, high-quality finishes.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, maintain quality standards, and help keep projects moving efficiently through the finishing process.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare cabinetry and components for finishing, including sanding, filling, masking, and surface preparation
• Apply stains, sealers, primers, paints, and clear coats
• Operate and maintain professional spray equipment
• Produce consistent finishes across cabinets, doors, drawers, and other components
• Inspect finished products for quality and correct imperfections as needed
• Identify and troubleshoot common finishing issues
• Organize and prioritize finishing work to meet project schedules
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe finishing area
• Communicate material needs, finishing concerns, and potential delays to the team

Additional Responsibilities (Occasional)

• Assist with general cabinet production and assembly as needed
• Help with cabinet-related tasks on job sites when necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional cabinet, millwork, or furniture finishing experience required
• Experience with spray-applied finishes and professional spray equipment
• Strong understanding of sanding, surface preparation, and finishing techniques
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes
• Knowledge of common finishing defects and how to prevent or correct them
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned work
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Dependable, punctual, and consistent
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Experience with custom cabinetry, stain-grade finishing, and waterborne finishing systems is a plus.
