Cabinet Maker / Assembler

Goldenwood is a Sydney family-owned business making custom furniture and joinery, including kitchens and cabinetry. We are looking for a cabinet maker / assembler to put together CNC-cut panels into finished cabinets in our workshop at 6 Coates Place, Wetherill Park NSW. Part time to start, with full time available as the role grows.

Duties

• Assemble CNC-cut panels into cabinets, following drawings and cutting lists.
• Fit hardware such as hinges, drawer runners and handles, and adjust doors and drawers so they run true.
• Check panels and finished cabinets for faults, and fix or report problems before they leave the workshop.
• Label, protect and stage finished cabinets ready for delivery.
• Work safely with workshop machinery and hand tools, and keep your work area clean and tidy.

What you need

• Experience assembling cabinets or joinery.
• Able to read drawings, cutting lists and measurements accurately.
• Careful, square, accurate work.
• Safe working habits around workshop machinery and hand tools.

Nice to have

• A trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in cabinet making.
• Experience with CNC-cut or flat-pack panel components.
• Experience with kitchen cabinetry.
• Photos of cabinets you have built.

Pay

$35 per hour, plus super, with increases as you prove yourself.

Hours

Part time to start, regular weekday hours, days agreed with you. Full time available for the right person. Start date: as soon as possible.
