THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all cabinetry and furniture is manufactured to the required measurements, drawings and specifications; Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the cutting, assembly, finishing and installation processes; Safely operate and maintain woodworking machinery, tools and equipment; Select suitable materials and fittings to meet project requirements and minimise material wastage; Follow workplace health and safety procedures in the workshop and on installation sites; Complete assigned work within project deadlines and maintain a clean and organised work area.

THE MAIN TASKS

· Interpret drawings, work orders and samples to determine job requirements and specifications

· Select and work with timber, veneers, laminates, particleboard and other engineered wood products

· Operate and program CAD and CNC machinery to mark out, cut and shape cabinet components

· Construct and assemble cabinets, wardrobes, furniture and other wooden fittings

· Install cabinetry in residential kitchens, bathrooms and commercial fitouts

· Fit hinges, locks, handles, drawer runners, shelves and other associated hardware

· Sand, polish and apply protective finishes to cabinetry and furniture

· Manufacture custom fittings for specialised items such as boats and caravans

· Construct frames for chairs, couches and other furniture

· Repair, refurbish and restore existing furniture, including antiques, where required

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE

The relevant trade certificate of a Certificate III in Cabinetmaking and a minimum of two years of work experience in cabinetmaking at a trade worker skill level.

RELEVENT SKILLS

Candidate must have excellent time management and excellent craftmanship; ability to work in a team environment and lead a team.

Salary Expectations: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00

Full-time and permanent position.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
