Cabinet Shop Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee operations in our workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and custom cabinetry, with skills in leadership and project management. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and leading a team of skilled tradespeople. The Shop Manager will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

• Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within specifications.
• Manage a team of carpenters and tradespeople, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Oversee the execution of various carpentry tasks.
• Conduct inventory checks.
• Review schematics and project plans with production. manager to ensure compliance with design specifications and be able to relay the information. to the shop team.
• Maintain an organized workshop environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.
• Implement safety protocols to protect staff and clients during all phases of work.
• Conduct 1:1 meetings and coaching with employees.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custom millwork/cabinetry shop and management.
• Strong skills custom carpentry/cabinetry.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ability to hold and maintain a high standard of expectations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,880.00 - $86,107.00 per year
