Role: Permanent Cable Assembly Operative

Jacarem is a rapidly growing distributor of connectors and a cable assembly manufacturer based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire seeking an experienced Cable & Harness Assembler who has excellent soldering skills to work 5 days per week.

The role will have a 3 month probationary period with a view to being permanent subject to performance.

Background and Skill Requirements:

• Must have experience manufacturing cable assemblies / wire harnesses.
• Soldering experience of connectors is essential and must be to a high quality.
• Must have excellent communication skills both orally and written
• Any previous testing experience would be a bonus but not essential.
• Beneficial if IPC-620 certified.

Key responsibilities include:

• Read instructions such as drawings, works orders, customer notes etc.
• Prepare cut cable.
• Build cable assemblies using a soldering iron, hand tools, automated crimping machines, strippers, and crimp tooling as required.
• Wiring (i.e. tie-wrapping, routing)
• Use various hand tools to remove cable jacket, filler, shielding and to apply any parts that are called for in process documentation.
• Apply appropriate labels to wires, connectors, and/or cables.
• Inspect work during and after completion for compliance to documented standards.

Successful candidates will be invited to 15 minute video interview. A face-to-face interview will then be offered to successful applicants where you will undergo a practical soldering test within our cable assembly division.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
