Cable Design Engineer

Position Title**:** Cable Design Engineer (Reports to Engineering Manager)

Location: Onsite in Lancaster, PA

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Design of wire and cable products to meet various requirements including industry standards, various regulatory agency compliances as well as customer specifications.
• Produce CAD drawings for extrusion machine tooling (Tips, Dies, Flanges, Adapters, etc.).
• Produce product design specifications, cost estimates, bill of materials as necessary with proprietary version of CableBuilder engineering, design and cost software platform.
• Produce general specifications & cost estimates with legacy systems (Excel/Word)
• Work with UL, CSA and other agencies or labs to facilitate various compliance testing.
• Produce various internal engineering related documentation, notices, bulletins, certifications.
• Support Sales, Purchasing, Quality Control, & Production related Engineering needs to facilitate product design, sale and manufacture of product.
• Assist in various Product Development, Systems Development & Engineering Projects.
• Occasional travel may be required for sales support and/or training.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a technical, electrical, or mechanical field.
• Relevant professional technical certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Expertise: Wire, cable, electrical, or electronics manufacturing.
• Technical Skills: Cost estimating, product design, and CAD software.
• Software & Systems: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and programming experience.

Starting Salary Range:

$65k-$85 Annual (Paid Weekly)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
