Cable Spooling Technician

Innovex is a leading provider of critical well centric products and technologies for the oil and gas industry including a broad array of industry leading engineered products. We design, manufacture, and install well construction, completion and artificial lift products for onshore and offshore operators worldwide.

We are searching for a Cable Spooling Technician to join our team. The cable technician will perform customer support activities for electronic submersible pumps on a well-site, including cabling, wiring, and troubleshooting. They will perform spooling and banding operations, working with large equipment, pneumatic tools, hand tools, electrical meters, and various splicing materials. Responsible for accurately completing field tickets and manage DOT logs for their work. If you feel like you would be a great fit for this position, please read below.

Required Skills:

• Perform all aspects of cable work such as high voltage testing, spooling, splicing, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to inventory control by learning all aspects of customer owned inventories and what is expected, yard organization and documentation required.
• Perform workshop tasks such as the cleaning and organizing of the cable shop.
• Thoroughly and accurately complete Work Order Tickets, Shippers, Receivers, Reel tagging, and other required paperwork.
• Perform periodic equipment documentation such as daily forklift inspections and monthly cable counter calibration requirements.
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements set forth by management.
• Perform all listed job functions under the direct supervision of the “cable shop lead” technician."

Pay: $23.00 - $23.23 per hour
