Cable Tagging and Machine Operator

Position Summary

The Machine Operator – Pole & Cable Tag is responsible for operating and monitoring tagging and printing equipment used to produce identification tags for telecommunication poles, fiber optic cables, and network infrastructure. The role ensures that all tags are accurately produced, properly formatted, readable, and compliant with project specifications.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically inclined, and comfortable using basic machine controls, software, and a laptop for production-related tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Machine Operation

• Operate and monitor machines used for pole and cable tag production.
• Perform basic machine setup and configuration before production.
• Load and prepare materials according to production requirements.
• Monitor machine operation and report any errors or abnormalities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate technical concerns when needed.

Software & Technical Tasks

• Use a laptop and basic software applications for machine operation and configuration.
• Input and verify required information such as pole numbers, cable IDs, route codes, and other identification details.
• Ensure correct settings and information before starting production.

Quality Control

• Check finished tags for accuracy, readability, size, and proper formatting.
• Ensure tags meet project and client specifications.
• Identify defective or incorrect tags and perform necessary corrections.

Production & Documentation

• Follow production instructions, work schedules, and assigned targets.
• Maintain accurate production records and report completed outputs.
• Keep the work area, machines, and materials organized.
• Follow company safety procedures and operational standards.

Qualifications

✔ Educational background: TESDA/vocational course graduate

✔ Background in Telecommunications or related technical field is an advantage

✔ Basic experience in machine operation, production, technical work, or similar roles

✔ Able to understand and perform basic machine setup and software configuration

✔ Comfortable using a laptop for basic operational tasks

✔ Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately

✔ Responsible, organized, and willing to learn

✔ Willing to work onsite in Cavite
