Cable Technician

We are currently hiring experienced Comcast Cable Technicians for residential installation and service work.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position with consistent workflow, routed work, and strong earning potential.

Technicians will perform installs, service changes, service calls, and troubleshooting while maintaining Comcast quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Install Comcast services (Xfinity internet, TV, phone)
• Perform trouble calls, service upgrades, and installations
• Run coax and install outlets
• Install and activate modems, cable boxes, and equipment
• Check and balance signal levels to Comcast specs
• Close jobs accurately using client systems and our certification system
• Provide professional customer service

Requirements

• Must be an experienced Comcast technician (preferred)
• Must be a 1099 independent contractor
• Own work vehicle (truck/van preferred)
• 28ft fiberglass ladder REQUIRED
• Must have all tools and equipment
• Must have required safety gear (PPE, harness, etc.)
• Ability to pass background check (required)
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid social security
• Work authorization

Required Equipment

• 28ft fiberglass ladder (cable ready)
• DOCSIS 3.1 meter (XM2)
• Coax compression tool & stripper (RG59, RG6, RG11)
• Drill, hand tools, and install equipment
• Safety gear (hard hat, harness, cones, etc.)
• Smartphone or tablet for work orders (Apple iPhone or iPad)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per week
