Cable Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, decommissioning, and organization of network cabling and infrastructure within data center environments.
• Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage copper and fiber optic cabling according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Read floor plans, blueprints, and work orders to support the accurate completion of cabling and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Work closely with technicians, leads, and project teams to complete installations, testing, and documentation tasks.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and low-voltage cabling tools and installation practices.
• Ability to read floor plans, blueprints, and simple design documentation.
• Familiarity with cable pulling, labeling, field terminations, and cable management fundamentals.
• Understanding of workplace safety requirements and a commitment to following established procedures.
• Willingness to learn copper and fiber testing, troubleshooting, and data center infrastructure technologies.
