Cabling Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Copper and Fiber Optic cabling systems.
• Perform cable termination, patching, splicing, testing, and fault identification.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Telephony and PABX systems.
• Handle installation and maintenance of Intercom systems.
• Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of communication systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults related to voice, cabling, and communication networks.
• Perform system testing and commissioning and ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, testing, maintenance activities, and fault reports.
• Coordinate with project, IT, electrical, and other technical teams as required.
• Follow safety procedures, technical standards, and project specifications.
• Provide technical support and respond to service and maintenance requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in Copper & Fiber Optic cabling.
• Hands-on experience with Telephony, Intercom, and PABX systems.
• Good knowledge of cable termination, testing, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
• Experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communication systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and cabling diagrams.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a technical team.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
