Cache Refugee & Immigrant Connection Service Member

This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA position is hosted by the Public & School Partnership and is based at the Cache Refugee & Immigrant Connection (CRIC) in Logan, UT. The mission of the CRIC is to promote integration, economic self-sufficiency, and positive connections among refugees, immigrants, and the wider community through two-way education, improved access to existing resources, and development of new services.

CRIC is looking for an organized, forward-thinking individual who is excited about building the capacity of an impactful organization Cache Valley. The VISTA Member serving CRIC will support immigrant and refugee populations in Cache Valley by ensuring sustainability through expanding community awareness, preparing and carrying out best practices for grant-writing and working directly with CRIC clients.

AmeriCorps VISTA is a National Service program. All AmeriCorps VISTA positions are full-time hours for one calendar year, as mandated by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Successful completion of a one-year service term qualifies all VISTA members for either an education award of $7,395 or a cash stipend of $1800 (direct deposit). The pay, a living stipend, is $1,914.92 per month.

The goal of this project is to strengthen the organizational, financial, and programmatic capacity of Cache Refugee & Immigrant Connection (CRIC) by developing sustainable systems, resources, and processes related to grant development, community engagement, communications, and volunteer management. These capacity-building efforts will strengthen CRIC’s internal infrastructure and provide staff and volunteers with sustainable tools and documented processes that can support the organization’s ability to serve refugees and immigrants in the community.
