CAD CAM Engineer

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Generate CNC program, design Jigs/Fixture, develop, and  edit program for 3-axis CNC milling machines.
2. Create and compile the necessary documents to aid the setting up and operation of machines, including instruction sheets on cutter tools setup.
3. Responsible for the fabrication process to ensure smooth productivity and meet scheduled lead time.
4. Perform program simulations and control program machining tolerance according to drawing specs.
5. Support troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process and improve the CNC program if needed.
6. Perform CAM scheduling, preparation of all CAM files, ERP (material/tooling/process time).
7. Perform corrective and preventive actions.
8. Machine components for first articles or production when required.
9. Support to operate CNC machines as when assigned by the Superior.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Diploma in Manufacturing Technology or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
2. 2-3 years of experience in CAM programming and CNC machining environment.
3. Experience as a Machinist would be an advantage.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of CAD CAM and utilize software such as MASTERCAM.
5. Capable of programming own work on MASTERCAM and holding close tolerances.
6. Proficiency in GD&T application and interpret mechanical drawings.
7. Understand and know the use of inspection and measurement tools.
8. Able to operate CNC Drilling/Milling machines.
9. Familiar with ISO9001 standards, ERP system and is computer literate.
10. Fresh Degree graduates interested to pursue a career in Precision Machining shall be considered as Assistant CAD/CAM Engineer.
11. Able to work alternate shift work.
