CAD Draftsman

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Draftsman to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and 3D models that bring architectural and engineering concepts to life. Your expertise in CAD software and building information modeling (BIM) tools will be essential in translating project requirements into comprehensive schematics and construction documentation. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and Bluebeam.
• Create construction detail documentation that adheres to project specifications and building code requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce accurate schematics and design layouts.
• Conduct building code analysis to ensure designs meet local regulations and standards for safety and compliance.
• Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools to develop integrated models supporting construction planning and coordination.
• Assist in drafting engineering CAD designs for various disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring clarity and precision in all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and Bluebeam.
• Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and construction experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with building code analysis and building code compliance processes.
• Skilled in 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project delivery.
• Ability to interpret architectural schematics and engineering drawings accurately.
• Excellent drafting skills combined with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Background in engineering CAD design or related fields is advantageous.
• Strong graphic design skills are a plus for creating visually compelling presentations of design concepts.

Pay: $23.00 - $33.86 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
