Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for injection molds, stamping dies, fixtures, gauges, and other manufacturing tooling.

• Develop detailed tooling drawings including dimensions, tolerances, GD&T requirements, and material specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering and tool room to ensure tooling designs meet production and quality requirements

• Support new product launches by developing and updating tooling designs for customer review

• Review customer product data and specifications to determine tooling requirements and manufacturing feasibility

• Generate and maintain tooling-related Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation

• Process and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) affecting tooling and manufacturing equipment

• Support tool build, tryout, validation, and production readiness activities

• Maintain CAD files, tooling drawings, and records in accordance with document control and revision management procedures

• Assist in troubleshooting tooling-related production issues and support root cause analysis activities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on tooling performance, quality, and manufacturing efficiency

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with experience designing manufacturing tooling

• Strong knowledge of mold and stamping die design

• Strong understanding of injection molding and metal stamping processes, including tool construction and production requirements

• Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing standards, engineering change management, and controlled documentation practices.

• Skills interpreting product designs and specifications and translate them into - effective tooling solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
