CAD Librarian

Permanent Position w/ Full benefits

Pay Rate: $90,000-$150,000

Fully onsite: Longmont, CO

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of CAD library management, ECAD/MCAD design, or engineering data management experience
• Expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer, including PCB layout, footprint creation, and component/PDM management
• Expert-level proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
• Experience with Altium Cable & Harness, Altium CoDesigner, BOM/revision control workflows, and ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

PLUSSES

• Aerospace, defense, industrial electronics, or other high-reliability product development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• CSWE (Certified SolidWorks Expert) and/or Altium Certified Designer certification
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR requirements, wire harness construction, and MIL-spec components

A manufacturing company in the directed energy laser space is looking to hire a CAD Librarian. This individual will serve as the bridge between electrical and mechanical engineering teams by managing CAD component libraries, documenting wire harnesses, and ensuring seamless integration between ECAD and MCAD environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining Altium Designer libraries, supporting PCB and cable/harness designs, authoring wire lists and connector pin mappings, managing BOMs and engineering data, and facilitating bidirectional data exchange between Altium Designer and SolidWorks through Altium CoDesigner. The role also involves maintaining library governance, revision control, and engineering change workflows while collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This is a Direct Hire opportunity located in Longmont, CO, requiring a fully onsite schedule. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance, with preference given to those holding an active clearance.
