CAD Operator (Trainee Level)

About the role

Furukawa Automotive Systems Lima Philippines, Inc is seeking a CAD Operator (Trainee Level) to join our Engineering Drafting team. This is a full-time position based in Lipa City, Batangas. In this role, you will support the creation and modification of technical drawings and designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. As a trainee-level operator, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and CAD professionals, developing your skills whilst contributing to the design and documentation of automotive components and systems. This position is fundamental to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our engineering documentation processes.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and produce technical drawings and designs using CAD software based on specifications and engineering requirements
2. Assist in the creation of 2D and 3D models of automotive components and assemblies
3. Modify and update existing drawings in response to engineering feedback and design changes
4. Ensure all drawings conform to company standards, specifications and relevant technical regulations
5. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of CAD files and project records
6. Collaborate with senior engineers and design teams to understand project requirements and deliver quality outputs
7. Support the preparation of drawings for manufacturing, assembly and quality assurance purposes
8. Perform quality checks on drawings to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies
9. Learn and apply best practices in CAD drafting and engineering design principles

What we're looking for

1. Graduate of any computer courses such as Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, BIT Major in Computer Technology or Drafting Technology
2. WILLING TO BE TRAINED IN CAD OPERATION, FRESH GRADUATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD is an advantage
4. Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and conventions
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical documentation
6. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
7. Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in CAD Operation
8. Basic knowledge of automotive components and manufacturing processes is an advantage
9. Experience with 3D modelling and parametric design is an advantage
