Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and 3D models that drive successful project execution. Your expertise in CAD software and building information modeling (BIM) tools will ensure our designs meet the highest standards of accuracy, building code compliance, and construction detail documentation. Duties

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to support architectural, engineering, and construction projects.
• Create schematic diagrams, construction details, and system designs that adhere to building codes and client specifications.
• Utilize BIM tools like Revit and Rhino 3D to facilitate building information modeling (BIM) processes for integrated project delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to refine design concepts through sketches, schematics, and graphic presentations.
• Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs comply with local regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documentation including plans, sections, elevations, and details for contractor use.
• Support project teams by performing 3D CAD modeling for interior design, mechanical systems, or system design projects using software such as Grasshopper 3D or 3ds Max.
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness; incorporate client feedback efficiently.
• Maintain organized CAD libraries and ensure version control throughout project lifecycles.

Experience

• Proven experience working with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
• Strong background in construction detail documentation and understanding of construction processes.
• Experience with building code analysis and ensuring design compliance within various regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, or 3ds Max for complex modeling tasks.
• Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for integrated project delivery.
• Prior experience in interior design or mechanical system drafting is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Basic graphic design skills for creating clear visual presentations of complex concepts are advantageous.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
