CAD Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Catering Draughtsperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting detailed technical drawings of commercial kitchen equipment, layout plans, and service drawings, ensuring they meet client specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. You will work closely with architects, and project managers to provide accurate drawings and technical support throughout the project.

Duties

• Develop and prepare detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and equipment suppliers to ensure designs align with project needs and specifications.
• Utilise software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit, to create accurate designs.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
• Coordinate the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services with kitchen equipment layouts.
• Maintain organised records of all design documents and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards throughout the drafting process.
• Assist in the build process by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Conduct on-site surveys to assess existing conditions, taking measurements and gathering data necessary for accurate design.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, is essential (minimum of 3 years experience)
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce precise drawings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and concepts.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A relevant qualification in engineering or design is preferred.
