CAD Technician

Key responsibilities

• Prepare parking layout drawings to Abu Dhabi parking standards: bays, aisles, ramps, accessible bays and EV bays.
• Prepare access and circulation plans showing vehicle, service, pedestrian and drop-off movements.
• Run swept-path checks in AutoTURN for the design vehicles.
• Prepare complete TMP drawing packages: site location plans, road network plans, phasing plans, junction layouts and proposed improvements.
• Prepare GIS drawings to ITC standards: convert CAD drawings into GIS, with the correct feature classes and attributes for road markings, arrows, parking areas and entrances.
• Dress every sheet for submission, with consistent title blocks, legends, layers and key plans.
• Revise drawings quickly against ITC and client comments, and keep a clear revision record.
• Work closely with traffic engineers and modellers to turn their analysis into clear, well-presented drawings.

Qualifications & experience

• Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering, or ITI Civil Draughtsman.
• 5 years of CAD experience on traffic, parking or transportation drawings.
• Expert AutoCAD and AutoTURN.
• Working GIS skills in ArcGIS or QGIS.
• A sharp eye for clean, accurate and well-presented drawings.

Nice to have

• Experience with ITC or Abu Dhabi submissions.
• Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi parking and road-marking standards.
