About the Role

AK Stainless Ltd is looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and nesting components using TruTops software for our Trumpf laser machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Create efficient nests using TruTops.
• Maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
• Prepare production-ready programs to meet delivery schedules.
• Liaise with the sales and production teams to ensure jobs are programmed with the deadlines.
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of programming processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience using TruTops or similar CAD/CAM nesting software.
• Experience programming Trumpf laser cutting machines is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
