Cadet Planter

Key roles and responsibilities: -

• Assist in the day-to-day management and supervision of plantation/estate operations.
• Gain practical exposure to oil palm cultivation, harvesting, field upkeep and crop production activities.
• Monitor field operations to ensure work is carried out according to established standards, procedures and schedules.
• Assist in supervising estate workers and contractors to ensure productivity, work quality and compliance with safety requirements.
• Support estate activities including harvesting, loose fruit collection, manuring, spraying, field upkeep and other agricultural operations.
• Assist in monitoring crop performance, field conditions and operational productivity.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports as required.
• Assist in manpower planning, work allocation and monitoring of daily field activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, occupational safety, environmental and sustainability requirements.
• Participate in estate inspections, meetings and operational improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Estate Manager or Management.

Requirements: -

• Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Plantation Management, Agribusiness, Crop Science, Agricultural Science or other related disciplines.

• Candidates with relevant plantation or agricultural experience will have an added advantage.

• Strong interest in developing a career in plantation management.

• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good communication and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• A fast learner, willing to learn and work under minimum supervision.

• Proficient with computer, including document processing software.(e.g. Microsoft Office)

• Willing to be based at and work in estate/plantation locations and ability to work in remote area.

• Willingness to relocate across Malaysia (Peninsular, Sabah & Sarawak).

• Fit and comfortable working in an outdoor and field-based environment.

• Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel when required.mPossess own transport.

• Goal-oriented and a team player.

• Strong time management, planning and organization skills.
