What they need

  • ArsenalOS is the digital backbone of Anduril’s hardware enterprise
  • It connects the full lifecycle, from concept to build to field feedback, into one operating environment built for speed, traceability, autonomy, and continuous improvement
  • That environment includes not just the software used to design, plan, and execute work, but also the factory-facing infrastructure that connects operators, machines, test systems, and OT networks into the same adaptive Build Chain
  • It is not a support function, but rather a strategic investment by Anduril that the operating system of the hardware lifecycle is how we win
  • It will be one of the mechanisms by which Anduril out-builds, out-adapts, and out-scales the traditional defense industrial base
  • We are looking for a Engineering Solutions Application Engineer to work with our team of developers and partner with cross functional teams across the company to develop customizations, optimize workflows and ensure engineering tools do not limit the speed of engineering design
  • You don’t just know how to use the tools—you know the tips, tricks, and workarounds that make engineers 10x more productive
  • You get energy from helping others succeed and light up when someone has that “aha moment” during training
  • You create training content that people actually want to use because it’s clear, practical, and solves real problems
  • You form recommendations based on deep experimentation and hands-on testing, not just what the manual says
  • When you discover a better way, you change course quickly and update your recommendations without ego
  • You seek feedback from users and iterate on your processes based on real-world results
  • You understand how data moves through our various downstream systems and optimize data flow
  • You are able to identify overlapping capabilities and optimize for global organization
  • You will work with a high-functioning team of engineers in various cross functional teams with an emphasis on identifying and finishing business-critical projects
  • You will help troubleshoot technical issues including those related with deployment, configuration and ongoing support

Benefits

  • Full Family Health Coverage
  • 16 Weeks Paid Parental Leave for All Caregivers
  • Family Planning & Support
  • Incentivized Time Off
  • Mental Health Resources
  • Financial Planning
  • Unlimited Provisions
  • Professional Development- Agility - they change directions easily and without regret, quickly adapting to shifting business priorities
  • Outcome-Oriented - they determine what benefits the business needs and work backwards from those outcomes. The antiquated IT concept of “system availability” is abhorrent to the ideal candidate, they care about if the business actually got value from their product, not if it was just made to specification
  • First Principles Thinking - they approach problems and develop solutions not based on what a vendor recommends or because it’s how they did things at their last job, but from a deep appreciation of what is best for the enterprise
  • Customer Focused - they display user empathy to boost engagement and build experiences that delight
  • Strong Product Sense - they know when in the product’s lifecycle to focus on optimizing the end user experience and when to focus on enterprise-level functionality
  • Bias for Action - they ask for forgiveness, not permission, and hate the idea of waiting around to be told what to do
  • Ownership - they care deeply not just about their products, but for all the business outcomes that their systems supports as well, holding themselves accountable for everything it both does and fails to do
  • Dive Deep - they sweat the details and roll up their sleeves to uncover the root causes for systemic issues, be it technical shortfalls or lack of user comprehension of a product
  • You possess deep expertise in at least one engineering discipline and its associated tool stack (CAD, CAE, PLM, or discipline-specific applications)
  • You understand that adoption is as important as capability—the best process is the one people actually use
  • You have hands-on experience using engineering design tools and can quickly learn new platforms
  • You are a U.S. Person (required for export control)5+ years of experience in a design engineering role building products, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a strong understanding of engineering workflows from concept through production
  • You prioritize solutions that deliver immediate value to engineers over perfect but complex approaches
  • You have proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find practical solutions
  • You have 5+ years of experience in a design engineering role building products, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent education/work experience)
  • You have experience using a wide array of engineering design tools across multiple disciplines
  • You have basic knowledge of scripting, automation, or tool customization
  • You have training, instructional design, or technical education experience
  • You understand data flow between engineering systems (CAD, PLM, ERP, MES)
  • You have experience in startup, defense, aerospace, or high-growth manufacturing environments
  • You are familiar with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.) and their integration with design tools
  • You have a background supporting cross-functional engineering teams in complex product development
  • You have knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile)
