About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor with the team, keeping things running smoothly, developing people and helping drive a successful café. Working alongside the Store Manager and Franchisee, you'll help lead the day-to-day operation of the café and ensure high standards are delivered every day.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and supporting FOH and BOH teams
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high café standards
• Training, coaching and developing team members
• Assisting with cash-ups and daily operations
• Managing stock, wastage and controllable costs
• Ensuring food safety, health & safety and cleanliness standards are met
• Working hands-on with the team during busy periods
• Supporting the Store Manager with the overall performance of the café
• Leading the store in the Store Manager’s absence, including managing staffing changes, sick leave and day-to-day operational issues

About you

• Previous café, restaurant or hospitality leadership experience
• Strong barista skills
• Great communication and people-management skills
• A solid understanding of food safety and café operations
• Confidence managing staff, costs and day-to-day operational issues
• A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
• The ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment
