Café Assistant

We are looking for a hard-working, friendly, and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team at Algar Lodge Farm Shop on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual with a passion for food and drink and a genuine love of working with people. Being friendly and approachable is essential, as excellent customer service is key to everything we do.

Our café can get extremely busy, particularly during weekends and the warmer months, so you’ll need to take pride in your work, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming and seating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Providing excellent customer service at all times
• Taking food and drink orders using the till
• Preparing hot and cold drinks
• Clearing tables and maintaining a welcoming café environment
• Keeping the café and kitchen areas clean and tidy
• Working closely with your team, supporting colleagues, and showing respect for all team members

This is a full-time, permanent position working 5 days per week. You must be flexible, as shifts will include both weekdays and weekends.
