Job Title: Cafe Assistant

Responsible to: The Café Manager and ultimately to the Superintendent Minister

Purpose and Objectives: To assist the Café Manager & other team members in ensuring that the highest standards of drinks/food quality, presentation and service are maintained and that this is carried out within the overall Christian ethos of the Café.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to this:

• Working in all aspects of the café during opening times
• Using the barista coffee machine and till. (Training will be provided).
• Ensuring you are following Health and Safety and Food Hygiene legislation under the guidance and direction of the Cafe Manager
• Ensuring the cafe is kept clean at all times, maintaining cleaning and hygiene standards, including regularly wiping down surfaces with disinfectant and sweeping & mopping the floor at the end of the day.
• Taking the tables outside in the morning and bringing them back at the end of the day, vacuuming the diner when needed
• Being willing to undertake any training as required, both statutory and as requested by the Management

Team

• Assisting with pot wash duties when required.
• Delivering meals from the kitchen to the customers.
• Informing the manager when stocks are low, and need re-ordering.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• This is a permanent post with a six month probationary period.
• The salary will be £13.45 per hour, depending on experience
• Normal working pattern: 10 hours a week, to be worked over two days
• Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, and confirmation of your authorization to work in the UK as required by the Immigration Asylum and
