Experienced Café Assistant / Server

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Café Assistant/Server to join our small, dedicated team in our Café at Kilfane House.

Located within a peaceful retreat centre in a historic Georgian manor house in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing warm, attentive service.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Tea Room
• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional service
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages
• Preparing and maintaining customer and service areas
• Following all food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
• Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
• Supporting the wider team as required

Requirements

• At least one to two years’ experience in a similar café, hospitality or food-service role
• Fluent spoken English
• A friendly, personable and customer-focused manner
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards
• Punctual, reliable, hardworking and trustworthy
• Ability to multitask and remain organised during busy periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Weekend availability
