Job Overview

Join our café team as a Café Counter Associate, where you’ll help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest. This hands-on role includes taking customer orders, preparing coffee and specialty beverages, serving food and cocktails, processing transactions, and providing friendly, attentive customer service.

We’re looking for someone who is energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great service, and is comfortable balancing a variety of responsibilities throughout the day.

Compensation & Schedule

• Part-time position
• Daytime shifts available Thursday through Sunday
• Hourly server wage plus tips

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly and attentive counter service.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, specialty drinks, and cocktails.
• Serve and assist with the preparation of café food items while following proper food handling and safety standards.
• Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about food and beverage offerings.
• Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Manage multiple orders and responsibilities efficiently during busy service periods.
• Maintain a clean and organized café, including the front counter, beverage stations, equipment, seating areas, and guest spaces.
• Restock supplies and assist with opening, closing, and general café duties as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous café, barista, serving, bartending, or food service experience is preferred, but we also value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and providing excellent guest service.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
• Basic math skills and the ability to process transactions accurately.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to help wherever needed.
