Café Associate

Job Summary

AJ's Cafe is looking for a friendly and dependable Café Associate to support daily café operations and provide excellent service to guests. This role will assist with customer orders, basic food and beverage preparation, counter service, cleaning, and other tasks that help keep the café running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide warm, efficient service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments.
• Prepare and package basic café food and beverage items.
• Assist with breakfast and café service during busy periods.
• Keep counters, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized.
• Restock cups, napkins, utensils, beverages, and other supplies.
• Assist kitchen and café team members as needed.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Help ensure customers receive accurate orders in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Previous café, restaurant, food-service, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working with customers and handling basic transactions.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy café environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform active service duties.
• Willingness to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 29.0 per week
