Cafe Attendant Contractor

** MUST be able to work M-F 6:30am-2pm or 3pm-8pm and Saturday 7am -12pm**

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Member Services Director the Café Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within the Signature Café. Working in this fast paced food and snack bar establishment will include completing customer transactions, cleaning and organizing all food and stocking areas, assisting with cleanliness of lobby area, and maintaining inventory.

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests and staff, with a high emphasis on guest satisfaction and quality control.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including early morning, late evening, as well as weekends and holidays
• Must possess excellent customer service skills; for example: friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional
• Maintain cleanliness in café and lobby areas, as per food handling and department of health standards.
• Must pay high attention to detail, presentation, and appearance of café items served.
• Must follow all standard operating procedures in regards to opening and closing.

· Must be able to stand in one place for lengthy periods of time.

· Ability to lift/push objects up to 40 lbs. and lift up to 36 inches off the ground.

· Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.

· Safely operate and use a flat top grill, microwave, coffee maker, blender and various kitchen utensils.

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Minimum 1-year experience as a short order cook is preferred

· Cash handling and three years customer service experience preferred.

Commercial kitchen experience preferred

Experience in Restaurants or Fast Food ordering preferred

· Must obtain and maintain Food Handlers card.

· Must be able to read, speak, and understand instructions in English to understand ingredients, cooking directions, and proper use of cleaning chemicals in a hazardous work environment.

· Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
