Duties

• Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cookies, scones, biscotti, brownies and pastries following established recipes and quality standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and other necessary baking equipment and tools efficiently and safely
• Make suggestions of how to decorate baked goods
• Manage food production processes ensuring consistency, portion control, and timely delivery of baked items
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and rotating stock to minimize waste

Qualifications

• Proven experience in baking or pastry preparation within a low to medium volume cafe setting
• Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety management practices
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness
• Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of baked goods
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
• Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of recipe adherence

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
