We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Café Bar Worker who enjoys working with people and takes pride in good service to join our award-winning community venue.
The Gregson is a community space where people come together for a pint, a coffee, a conversation and a whole variety of activities. From daytime gatherings to busy evenings of live music and festivals, our Café Bar is at the heart of it all.
You’ll work alongside our staff and volunteers, serving customers, helping keep the Café Bar running smoothly and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who comes through the doors.
About you
Finding the right person matters most to us. You don’t need previous hospitality experience to apply — we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, good people skills and a willingness to learn.

* Is reliable, enthusiastic and happy to get stuck in.
* Works well as part of a team.
* Is comfortable working in a busy environment.
* Has an interest in creativity, community life and what makes the Gregson special.
Hours and working pattern
The role is for 12 contracted hours per week, with opportunities for additional shifts by agreement.
Shifts will include a mix of daytime, evening and weekend work. We know people have commitments outside of work, and we always do our best to work around these when planning rotas.
What we offer
Alongside working in our award-winning Café Bar and becoming part of our community, we offer:
The equivalent of 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, pro rata.
Auto-enrolment pension contributions matched up to 5%, subject to eligibility.
