| SUMMARY: Responsible for taking and delivering food and beverage orders to the Guests in a friendly and courteous manner. |
| Essential Responsibilities and Duties:(Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to) - Takes orders for food and beverages, sets tables and trays, and delivers food and beverages to the Guests. - Maintains an effective working relationship and excellent guest service with all Team Members and Guests. - Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, hosts staff, and Guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and quickly. - Performs duties using sound and mature judgment. - Abides by all state, federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. - Requests identification from Guests when legal age appears to be under 30. - Converses with Guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service; addresses complaints or concerns. - Performs multiple tasks during high volume situations. - Greets and seats Guests, cleans and resets the dining area on an as needed basis. - Cleans and fills empty condiment containers. - Assists and supports catering and special event functions. - Performs all side work duties as assigned. - Adheres to Black Oak Casino Resort and departmental appearance standards. - Performs other duties as assigned. |
| Mandatory Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years old. - Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. - One year experience as a Food Server with some experience in banquet service preferred. - Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification. - Must have ability to learn and operate point-of-sale system. - Must possess a cooperative and friendly nature, with excellent guest service skills. - Must be able to communicate proficiently in English. - Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere. - Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test. - Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license. - Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S. |
| Physical Demands: - Must be physically able to perform all job requirements. - Must be able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance. |
| Work Environment: - Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment. - Must be able to work in a noisy environment. - Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events. |
