Mou Mou Kai Cafe is located within Te Kura Whare - the offices of Tūhoe Te Uru Taumatua.  Tūhoe - Te Uru Taumatua exists to implement a concerted effort toward raising Tūhoe lifestyles. Our work is guided by our core values, derived from our rich history and Whakapapa, and our commitment to Tūhoetanga and Te Mana Motuhake ō Tūhoe. We are a values-driven, collaborative team always thinking of our future within a constantly evolving environment of today.

We're looking for a part-time Grill Cook who loves cooking, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being part of a team that values good food and good people.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and cooking a range of grilled foods and meals
• Helping create tasty, well-presented dishes
• Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
• Working alongside a hardworking, friendly team
• Contributing ideas and creativity to our menu and specials

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience working in a commercial kitchen or cooking for groups
• Know your way around a grill
• Enjoy preparing hearty, quality kai
• Can work efficiently in a busy environment
• Have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team
• Understand the role kai can play in bringing people together and the stories that unfold
