Curly's Café is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our kitchen team in beautiful Mount Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.

We're a well-established local café known for great coffee, fresh food, and genuine hospitality. As we continue to evolve, we're seeking a hands-on leader who can bring creativity, consistency, and strong operational skills to our kitchen.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading and mentoring the kitchen team
• Managing daily kitchen operations
• Menu development and seasonal specials
• Food costing and maintaining GP targets
• Stock ordering and supplier management
• Ensuring food safety and compliance standards are met
• Driving consistency, quality, and efficiency across all services
• Managing labour costs and kitchen rostering

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
• Thrives in a fast-paced café environment
• Has strong leadership and communication skills
• Understands food costing, stock control, and labour management
• Is passionate about quality food and customer experience
• Brings a positive attitude and leads by example
• Holds relevant food safety qualifications
