Cafe Manager

Job Overview

Everyday Market in Belmont is seeking a Cafe Manager to oversee all front of house operations. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure food quality and safety standards, and drive profitability. As a cafe, restaurant, and wine shop, we are looking for a well-rounded leader who can adapt in a high-volume environment. Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise cafe staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
• Manage POS system to ensure accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
• Order and receive FOH supplies including coffee, paper goods, and others as needed while maintaining proper inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and sanitation standards across all areas of the cafe
• Monitor shift operations, coordinate staffing schedules, and handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly
• Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure a smooth flow of information
• Other duties as required

Skills

• Experience in food service management within casual dining or quick service environments
• Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, conducting interviews, and managing hospitality teams effectively
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Square; adept at cash handling and sales reporting
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and food industry regulations
• Excellent communication skills for managerial conversations, staff training, and customer interactions
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to budgeting, P&L analysis, and inventory control
• Experience in managing shift schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring smooth restaurant management operations

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
