Café Manager

Port Coffee Co Philadelphia is seeking a dependable and organized Café Manager to support daily coffee shop operations and lead the café team. This role involves coordinating staff, maintaining beverage and customer-service standards, managing supplies, supporting daily workflow, and helping create a welcoming experience for guests. The ideal candidate is a professional team leader who can stay organized and communicate effectively in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations and customer-service activities.
• Coordinate staff assignments and workflow during each shift.
• Support, guide, and communicate with baristas and café team members.
• Maintain standards for beverage quality, order accuracy, and customer service.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching team members.
• Respond to routine customer questions and service concerns professionally.
• Monitor coffee, beverage, food, and café supply levels.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies as needed.
• Operate or oversee POS and routine cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked café areas.
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily operational tasks.
• Communicate staffing, supply, and operational needs to management.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience.
• Previous supervisory, shift-lead, or management experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced café environment.
• Good attention to beverage quality, cleanliness, and service details.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory procedures is helpful.
• Able to train, support, and work effectively with a café team.
• Professional and respectful approach with customers and coworkers.
