Café Manager

Houndstooth Coffee is seeking a dependable and experienced Café Manager to oversee daily coffee shop operations and support the café team. This role involves coordinating staff, maintaining beverage and service standards, assisting customers, monitoring inventory, and helping ensure smooth and efficient café operations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations and customer-service activities.
• Coordinate staff assignments, shift workflow, and daily responsibilities.
• Support, guide, and communicate with baristas and café team members.
• Maintain consistent standards for beverage quality, order accuracy, and customer service.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching new and existing employees.
• Address routine customer questions and service concerns professionally.
• Monitor coffee supplies, inventory levels, and restocking requirements.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing café supplies.
• Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked café and service areas.
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily operational checklists.
• Communicate staffing, supply, and operational needs to management.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience.
• Previous supervisory, shift-lead, or café management experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility for daily operations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy café environment.
• Good attention to beverage quality, cleanliness, and service standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory procedures, and café operations.
• Ability to train, support, and work effectively with team members.
• Professional and respectful approach to customers and coworkers.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
